Another year, another birthday.....

Dave has been absolutely perfect in the flower department this year! Not only did he send me 2 dozen roses for our 8th anniversary in May, he sent me these lovely lillies for my birthday this week. Thanks honey! Even though he was gone, my 33rd birthday was enjoyable. I spent the day shopping with Rachael (got a sitter for the kids) then we took all of the kids to one of our favorite Mexican resturaunts that night. And to top it off, this afternoon I went to get an HOUR massage at the day spa. What a treat!!

Kids loose with my camera!

These pictures are what I found on my camera after I spent a few minutes on the phone this particular afternoon. You think I would have noticed what was going on.....

Trip to Utah

Last week my sister Rachael and I took our kids on a road trip to Utah to visit family. We got to see my Mom and Dad who are on a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, my brother David and his family in Pleasant Grove, and Dave's sister Carrie and her family in Alpine. And the best part was that Dave got to fly in from Denver to meet us. It was so great! Here are some pictures of our trip. here are the kids with their cousins at the table at Uncle David's house
Eleanor and Peter at the Cherry Hill Waterpark
Lucas and Eleanor digging for fossils at the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point
Eleanor getting a shave from the barber at "This is the Place Monument"
Madeline at the donosaur museum
the kids even got to see Grandpa Rahm!
Aunt Carrie, baby David, James, Beccabee, and Uncle James
Grandma and Grandpa Evans and Eleanor
the kids at the Joseph Smith Building

Oh yeah, that's East High from High School Musical!

We actually drove to the school (in Salt Lake City) to take photos in front of it, but as we were doing that the janitor came out and let us in! The kids thought they had died and gone to heaven! The movie High School Musical 3 had just been filmed here 2 weeks before. Wow!

...more fun stuff in Utah

Daddy's home!

Dave just got home this morning for the 4th of July weekend. We were soooo happy to see him! Eleanor made a special tea party/luncheon for all of us to celebrate his homecoming. Look at that spread of yummy food!

Eleanor LOVES her dogs!

Now that it's summer in Visalia, it's much too hot out in the afternoons for the dogs. Their hearts can't take the constant panting! We block them in part of the house and they pretty much sleep all afternoon. Ahhhh the life of a dog. No worries. Must be nice.

Lucas's camera shots

I let Lucas take some pictures with my camera and these are the shots he took. He captured Eleanor and Daddy playing "Guess Who" (Eleanor's favorite game) and of course, his garbage truck! Pretty impressive for a 3 year old!
